Fire,Fire and more Fire!

Wow this is weird doing a post on Thursday that has nothing to do with " It's ok Thursday." Life has been so crazy for me these last few weeks it's not even funny! First off I want to thank all of my blog friends for noticing I have not been blogging in awhile! I can't even begin to tell you all how good it makes me feel that you guy's noticed! That is so Freakin awesome!

There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing the city you've grown up in your whole life literally up in flames! So far the Colorado Springs fire has burned over 18,500 acres and has burned  346 homes! The fire is still only 10% Contained with record setting temptures and high winds off and on daily! Yesterday we were put on a Pre-Evacuation and got all of our pictures and important papers packed and ready to go for just in case we need to leave! Please pray for our fire fighters that they get this massive fire out and that they all come home to their families at the end of the day!

I think this one is one of my favorites!

Don't forget guys live today to it's fulliest for tomorrow may never come...

  1. I love the picture of the firefighter with the deer! I hope they get this fire 100% contained and soon I don't know how many more sleepless nights I can handle before I crash hard! Im glad you have formed so many close bonds with bloggers, I hope you continue to enjoy it. See you tomorrow lady! Have a good night and stay safe of course :)

  4. This stuff just breaks my heart :( I live in Montana and we have one fire that size, and another that's 110,000 acres. Not as many homes have burned since it's less populated, but I think about 150 homes have been burned. It is just so so sad and I wish there was more I could do. I just ordered some underwear and sent it to a friend down in Boulder who is doing an underwear drive at her gym! Stay safe down there.

  6. I feel so badly for what is going on with the fires out there. I was in Colorado springs once as a kid. it was so beautiful

but from ashes will rise a Falcon ( or is it a Phoenix) but though it is so very devastating and dangerous I hope that the re-growth is even more beautiful than i remember it
